Bred by Quailhurst (Caletino x Tjinja x Kennedy)
The Quailhurst team enjoyed a fabulous long weekend at the 2009 Dressage at Devonwood show. Marvin, Lisbeth, and Linda were kept quite busy pouring the Quailhurst Vineyard Estate wines under the concession tent. While they kept the wine flowing, Deborah and Alexiss performed two excellent tests in the USEF Four Year Old division on Friday and Sunday. Their blue ribbon performance on Sunday was the perfect ending to a great weekend of progress for the pair. In their remarks, judges Anne Gribbons and Axel Steiner were very enthusiastic about the quality and presence displayed by this young mare and, specifically, that she was U.S. bred, by Quailhurst.
Alexiss returned home after Devonwood showing an increased maturity and desire for challenge in her work, which is the best you can hope for in the early career of a young horse. Thanks to everyone at the Devonwood Equestrian Center for their usual fine hospitality, planning, and preparedness – it was, as always, a fantastic show.
