Carol Austin of Superior Equine Sires, Inc. has acquired the Quailhurst stock of frozen semen for the KWPN stallions Metall, Inspekteur, and Democraat as well as Lippizan stallion Favory IV Delta.

Austin brings over 30 years of experience as a horse industry professional to Superior Equine Sires. She founded SES in 1999 to provide North American horse breeders with easy access to the world’s finest sport horse stallions and currently offers the largest selection of warmblood sport horse semen in the world. “I am proud that the semen I have imported through the years has had a profound positive effect on the North American sport horse industry,” said Austin.

After 15 years of breeding horses for sale and offering a select stock of sport horse semen, the acquisition marks the transition out of the breeding side of the business for Quailhurst owner Deborah Hausman. “At this stage, I am completely focused riding and competing my horses, as well as teaching a select group of students at Quailhurst,” said Hausman. “Carol’s unsurpassed knowledge and focus on educating the sport horse breeder make her the perfect choice to assume our frozen semen supply.”

“I especially enjoy dealing with newcomers to using frozen semen, said Austin. “I enjoy answering their questions and giving them good basic information, so they know what to expect. I like to help them choose stallions with excellent conception results for their first foray into frozen semen.”

Superior Equine Sires’ full Stallion Roster can be found here. “I encourage anyone with an interest in breeding their next sport horse to visit Carol’s website – a true one stop-shopping destination for the best sport horse semen in the world!”
