Tjinja (Kennedy x Bentley x Saros XX
KWPN – NA/WPN Elite Predicate Mare Breeder: H. en P. van de Broek)
Tjinja (pronounced cheen-ya) is a 2000 Dutch Warmblood mare by the imposing dressage stallion Kennedy. Kennedy, himself, was the first licensed son of the world famous Olympic Ferro who was the basis for an influential stallion line.
On the Dam’s side is Bentley. Both Dam lines have produced many fine performance horses and Tjinja’s dam “Jinja†is a ster mare.
Quailhurst purchased Tjinja as a 3 year-old and brought her to the U.S. Before arriving in the U.S. Tjinja was the Reserve Champion Mare at the National Mare Keuring in Holland. Since that time she has continued to win multiple titles which include:
2006 1st place Produce of Dam
2005 DSHB Materiale Award
2005 KWPN Materiale – 1st Place
2005 Won DG Bar Cup for 5 year-olds
USDF All Breeds Award – 1st Place Dutch Horse
2005 NWSHB Champion Mare
2005 USDF Cosequin Champion Mare
Tjinja continues to progress with Deborah and show great promise. She has a ground covering walk, an incredible uphill trot, and a very expressive canter; all of the qualities you would expect to find with her breeding. What makes Tjinja exceptional is her correct conformation, athleticism, and exceptional work ethic. She is extremely eager, with just enough mind of her own to beautifully express herself.
She will be active in the show arena in 2007.
Her offspring Alexiss and A. Cabanaboy were shown as yearlings in the 2006 season receiving scores of 72.4% and 75.3% respectively.
