Jeroen Dubbeldam and Quailhurst’s BMC Nassau bring home Bronze in Team and Individual at The European Show Jumping Championships!

21 July The European Show Jumping Championship in Italy began on Tuesday with the official inspection of 67 horses presented.

22 July Jeroen Dubbeldam and BMC Nassau completed the first day of competition in 14th place, tomorrow they will be the 4th horse to go. BMC Nassau had a clean round today.

23 July At the end of completion today during torrential rain, Jeroen and BMC Nassau had clean rounds. They currently stand 4th in the Individual with a 7.62. Only the 25 best riders will compete in the Individual rounds tomorrow. Jeroen and BMC Nassau with their amazing performance today could not keep the Netherlands from missing the silver medal by less than 1 point and taking home bronze.

24 July Jeroen and BMC Nassau considered a complete outsider for this competition came from being ranked 5th and taking the 3rd position on the podium and clinching the bronze individual medal for the Dutch. Less than one point divided each of the top 3 horses.

“We have had a very unlucky season so far. We have good riders and good horses but some thing always seems to go wrong for us. But our team spirit is good. We fought for the medals today and now we are super happy.”

“I had two silly mistakes during the championship. The last clear round made all the difference. I was very nervous at the first two fences but then it got better.”

“Having now two bronze medals is something I didn’t expect two months ago.”
